It’s been a very busy year in the world of silicone and we cannot believe where the year has gone. So we thought we’d recap on some of our main news stories of 2015.
Training for the Future
Let’s start all the way back in January 2015 where we started our successful Technical Training Programme delivered by our Senior Innovations Technologist, Bill Taylor. The sessions were carefully planned and structured to increase the technical knowledge and expertise of all front end staff in the science and performance of silicone. The sessions 4 month training sessions have helped increase knowledge of staff to pass on expert knowledge down the supply chain.

The visit was to assess a number of key factors such as a robust supply chain, manufacturing infrastructure and capability together with design and solution capabilities.

Farmers of the Future
We hosted again in March but this time it was a large group of farmers. We were contacted by a Lancashire young farmers association to see if we would provide a presentation of our silicone dairy tubing manufacturing facility which we were delighted to host. The evening allowed us to connect with the end user of our products and gain some feedback into performance and how we could potentially look to improve the silicone tubing.
