Silicone Engineering is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Bronze Rating by EcoVadis, one of the world’s most recognised providers of business sustainability assessments.

The achievement places Silicone Engineering among the top 35% of companies assessed globally over the past 12 months, recognising the company’s commitment to responsible business practices, environmental stewardship and supply chain transparency.

The independent assessment awarded Silicone Engineering an overall score of 69 out of 100, with particularly strong results across Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, demonstrating the company’s continued focus on sustainable manufacturing and responsible business operations.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading sustainability rating platforms, assessing organisations across four key areas:

  • Environment
  • Labour & Human Rights
  • Ethics
  • Sustainable Procurement

Its ratings are used by manufacturers, OEMs and procurement teams worldwide to evaluate supplier sustainability performance and identify responsible supply chain partners.

Supporting the Supply Chains of Tomorrow

As sustainability expectations continue to evolve, many OEMs and multinational organisations are placing increasing emphasis on environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing and supply chain transparency when selecting manufacturing partners.

Independent assessments such as EcoVadis provide valuable third-party verification of sustainability performance and demonstrate a company’s commitment to continuous improvement.

By investing in initiatives such as EcoVadis and ISO 14001, Silicone Engineering is proactively positioning itself to support both current and future customer requirements.

The company is currently progressing towards ISO 14001 certification, the internationally recognised environmental management standard, as part of its wider sustainability strategy.

A Team Achievement

Achieving the EcoVadis Bronze Rating was the result of a collaborative effort involving colleagues across multiple departments throughout the business.

Particular recognition goes to Philip Chadwick and the QHSE team, who coordinated the assessment process and compiled the extensive documentation required to support the submission.

The achievement reflects the collective efforts of employees across Silicone Engineering who continue to strengthen environmental performance, ethical business practices and governance standards throughout the organisation.

“This achievement reflects the efforts of colleagues across the business and provides a strong foundation as we continue our sustainability journey.”

Looking Ahead

The EcoVadis Bronze Rating represents an important milestone in Silicone Engineering’s sustainability journey, but it is only one step in a wider programme of continuous improvement.

The company’s current score places it closer to achieving a Silver Rating than remaining within the Bronze category, providing a strong platform for future progress.

As Silicone Engineering continues its journey towards ISO 14001 certification and future EcoVadis assessments, the focus remains on supporting customers with responsible manufacturing practices, transparent supply chains and long-term sustainable growth.
