Vacuum-Forming New Relationships
The Silicone Engineering team were forming new relationships at this month’s Ligna 2015 exhibition held in the German city of Hannover. The exhibition gave us opportunity to visit and catch up with current customers and also develop new relationships with other vacuum forming companies spread across Europe.
The show featured some 1,567 exhibitors and had close to 100,000 visitors over the week, all focused around the vacuum and thermoforming industries where our extreme high tear grade, kSil™VAC is widely used as silicone membrane sheets. One of Silicone Engineering’s partners were showcasing kSil™VAC on one of their presses which was impressive to see in action.
kSil™VAC has high elongation properties which make it ideal for membrane presses that form around intricate shapes. With high temperature resistance up to 230°C, kSil™VAC also performs well under high heat which is important in the thermoforming industry.
The exhibition gave us opportunity to catch up with current customers and also develop new relationships with other vacuum forming companies spread across Europe.
Overall Ligna was a very successful exhibition and feedback from all our customers is that they are very happy with our kSil™VAC membranes.
