Once again, the Silicone Engineering Race Team were over on the Isle of Man competing in this year’s world-famous road race, the Isle of Man TT.
Looking to improve on last year’s performance, main rider Dean Harrison was tipped for the podium places and he certainly didn’t disappoint.
The 29-year-old started the week in blistering form in the Superbike TT where he set a new absolute lap record of 134.432mph but unfortunately had to pull out of the race due to a mechanical failure. He subsequently took second place in the Supersport race one and third in the Superstock event.
But it was in the Supersport race two where Dean proved his class by taking first place by a massive 18.5 seconds over second place Peter Hickman. This was Dean’s second first place finish after entering the Isle of Man TT four years ago. Dean said “We’ve been trying all week and it’s finally paid off.” “We’ve got the win that we came here to get and I‘m over the moon.” (www.independent.com)
Dean finished off the week with a very respectable second place in the Senior TT
A big congratulations from all at Silicone Engineering!
